As of August 12, 2024, a formal Cisco Meraki firmware EOL policy has gone into effect. By aligning with industry standards and streamlining our firmware lifecycle management practices across all Cisco Meraki products, we are enhancing our service and providing transparent communication about our firmware lifecycle practices, key milestones and support timelines.

I understand the policy, but will a chart be posted for firmware with all the relevant dates at some point?

Cisco Meraki makes an effort to provide as much advanced notice as we possibly can around expedited/adjusted End of Sale timelines, which may be influenced by factors including, but not limited to, inventory shortages.

Yes I understand that, but based on the new policy firmware will now have dates. I have to imagine some older software already qualifies. I was just asking if there is intended to be a chart like exists for the Meraki Hardware or notices published like regular Cisco does.

We provide our customers full visibility into firmware versions, release notes, and lifecycle status directly through the Meraki Dashboard.

To access this information customers can simply navigate to Organization > Monitor > Firmware upgrades where they’ll find the latest firmware versions and corresponding release notes.

For additional information about status indicators for firmware versions, please refer to the Firmware Version Status section in our documentation.

Yeah will find the latest firmware versions with release notes that are near meaningless because they lack the requisite detail which should be part and parcel to the release notes. If you are adopting the Cisco style you must also adopt their meticulous level of detail for firmware release notes. 98800 series controller FW release notes as an example...
