Do the WAPs change client association decisions based on portal physical topo map?

Hello.

I read somewhere that the Meraki portal's physical topology map influences the portal LAN controller's artificial intelligence decisions on association, load distributing, roaming.

1. Is this true?

2. How can I confirm that these WAP decisions are being influenced by the Meraki Portal as discussed?

Sound like you're referencing the client balancing feature. Clients can be steered to the best available AP based on load, # of clients connected and other factors.

Mind you, the feature doesn't always play nicely, especially with older clients.

Yes and no, there are features that help the customer in deciding which AP to connect, but the decision is still up to the customer.

Unfortunately you can't confirm it.
