hi,

a client sent me a request - "I am shopping for an outdoor point-to-point network wireless bridge, capable of multiple VLANS.
802.1Q VLAN Tagging is a must.

From the main building, I need to deliver multiple VLANS, to the remote building"

is there a solution we can implement in Meraki ?

can we implement it with a directional antenna that support 2.4Ghz only (local outdoor wifi regulation) like the MA-ANT-23.

Hi,

I see no problem with that. All MR APs can be used, it is a config support adds to your APs on request.

I use it myself on CW9164i using mesh on 6 GHz

I am a huge Meraki supporter.

Meraki is not a good solution for outdoor bridge links. Only use it for simple short distance links.

I say this to prevent future disappointment and frustration.

I would agree with this. I've been a proponent of Meraki for the better part of a decade, and this is the first I've heard of the PtP capability. Reading through the documentation, it seems like it's a halfway developed solution. There are purpose-designed PtP/PtMP solutions on the market that will perform far better, be more flexible and require less setup time.

Additionally, using this solution has the potential to cause co-channel/adjacent channel interference in a dense Wi-Fi environment. Whenever I implement PtP/PtMP, I leverage a 60Ghz solution to avoid interference.

I personally wouldn't implement this solution for a wireless bridge link.
