Need to Convert CW9172I-CFG to Meraki Mode

I shipped these to a customer because lead times for the Meraki AP's was 90 days. The CW9172I-CFG should be convertible to Meraki. I've found different sources with directions but they don't seem to work. Anyone have clear instructions on how to convert a CW9172I-CFG to Meraki mode?

Yes, but only if it is a Global Use CW9172 (single‑SKU) model AND only through a Cisco Catalyst 9800 WLC or Catalyst 9300 switch.
There is no supported method to convert a CW9172I to Meraki mode using CLI, console, or local GUI.
This is the same limitation documented for the CW916x series as well, conversion cannot be done locally, it must be done via a WLC.

If they aren't working (especially after a factory reset, also covered in teh article) you will need to contact support.

Note the link provided by @mloraditch above - that is the definitive guide to configuring these APs.

They default to Meraki mode out of the box. If you had already *changed* them to Catalyst mode then just do a factory default reset on them and they will start up in Meraki mode again.
