Hi,

If I setup an 1131 Cisco access point with WPA2 does that encrypt just the authentication portion for access, or does each packet going forward, once successfully authenticated, get encrypted also?

Thanks,

William

What I basically want to know is after I have successfully authenticated using a WPA2 password to the access point can someone still sniff my connection and capture my future traffic?

So to summarize you are saying that setting up WPA2 authentication then creates an encrypted session till I disconnect? Basically making my connection be secured from the ability to sniff my packets while I browse or work on files after successfully suthenticating? I don't need to connect and then establish a VPN to secure y connection?

Just clarifying
