I was told that to migrate WCS to NCS on a VM environment, I have to start fresh e.g fresh vm server, fresh red hat operating system. Is it true?

I want to keep all my maps and data/logs on WCS, is it possible?

Thanks for sharing.

NCS come with its own bundled operating system, so yes you need to start fresh obviously but don't care about an operating system, it's coming with the application.

For data preservation, simply take a backup of your WCS database.
