Hi Pradeep,

Under "Management -> Tech Support -> Controller Crash" can you see any crash information ?

In certain cases, crash info is not generated and WLC is silently crash & rebooted.

I would suggest you to upgrade to 8.0.140.0 release & see if these keep occurring.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn80mr4.html

HTH

Rasika

Cisco Wireless controller WLC 5508 crash file

Hi all,

I have AIR-CT5508-500-K9 WLC running version 8.0.121.0 that has crashed & rebooted. Last reset reason shows as watchdog. The coredump generation feature has been disabled. So I dont have any logs to troubleshoot the issue. My questions are:

1. CSCsq49831 mentions that crashinfo file & coredump are different things on WLC. So how can I check for crashinfo files on WLC?

2. I did not find any commands to see the file system & its contents on a WLC other than the transfer upload/download commands. are there any?

3. I want to enable the coredump file generation feature. how to do it?
