Dear my friends

According to my last project I would like to setup the wireless LAN in my office that it could be the most changeable project that I have ever had. There fore, I would be appreciated to answer my question in this interesting way. as far as, my devises that I used in this project were

1- WLC 5508

2-AIR-CAP3502I-E-K9

3-Switch WS-C3750X-24P

However, CAPWAP could not joined to WLC and it faced to this log "%CAPWAP-3-DHCP_RENEW: Could not discover WLC using DHCP IP
. Renewing DHCP IP." in AP.

Additionally, the other obstacle is a error log that is on WLC in which " *fp_main_task: Apr 24 09:06:20.550: %CNFGR-3-INV_COMP_ID: cnfgr.c:2219 Invalid Component Id : Unrecognized (36) in cfgConfiguratorInit. ".

Lastly. I have attached my config .I look forward to hearing form you soon.

regards

1. Can you put AP and WLC in same subnet and try to join it.

2. If still fails then please Paste the output of these

From AP: Sh version and also paste the paste the complete boot-up process from AP console.

but I couldn't do line 3,4,5 because my AP is not standalone and I just can have the view access so that , no possibility to execute those commands .

Ok, so the AP is connected to a Cisco switch. So what happens when you enter the command "sh cdp neighbor <PORT> detail"?

Another thing, I notice the WLC do NOT have an NTP settings. Make sure the time & date settings are accurate of the AP won't join. It is highly recommended to enable NTP settings.

Hi,

Hi,

1. Your WLC is set to country code USA

2. And your AP has the regulatory domain(Europe):AIR-CAP3502I-E-K9

So either change the country (One of the Europe) or change the AP with correct domain(AIR-CAP3502I-A-K9)

I agree with Sandeep.

The reason why the AP won't join the controller is due to Regulatory Domain of the AP ("-E") is incompatible with the country code set on the controller ("US").
