WLC stable IOS

Hi We are currently running 7.6.130 for 2 x WLC 5800.

This IOS does not seem stable ie our clients now and then lose connection to the APs and we have to reboot

the APs to get the clients connected it again.

I believe there is new IOS version 8 coming out.

is it recommend to upgrade to this latest version ?

Any advises are much appreciated.

I have 7.6.130.0 deployed in the global enterprise across many 5508s and am awaiting the next 8.0 MR release for IoT and security bug fixes. I do not have the problem you describe with 3500/3600/3700 series APs. Hope this helps. Regards

Hi All,

I am running 8.0.115.0 on 5 WLCs (5508 model) on 1000+ APs for nearly 2 months. I can say there are no major issues. The only issue I found in 8.0.115.0 is I cannot add a new country to the country list. It gives an error saying cannot perform this task now. ( I disabled all radios to try this).

Also rarely I see one or two APs lost the VLAN mapping under Flex connect.
