Country Codes - WLC

Hello,

When selecting country codes on a WLC - what exactly is this doing in the background? Does it prevent certain APs from being able to connect to the WLC. Are certain standards disabled etc..? I know it's just a tick box, but really want to understand what happens in the background.

Thanks

Hi GRANT,

Normally country code specify a particular country of operation (such as DE for Germany or US for America). Each country code ensures that each radio’s broadcast frequency bands, interfaces, channels, and transmit power levels are compliant with country-specific regulations.

Regards

Dont forget to rate helpful posts
