WLC dynamic vlan using openLDAP

Hi all,

im new here, so this is still planning phase i would like to implement wlc 5520 integration with openLDAP where when user login with 802.1x they get specific vlan base on identity, would it be possible without using ISE ?

802.1x need ISE,

solve this by using web auth with Mac, and config locally in WLC.

so i need to configure their mac and assign their vlan based on identity ?

its a little inconvenient if they have 1000 user and i need to register their mac address

WLC database is not that big so i will not recommand to use mac address configuration locally on wlc.

Best is to have RADIUS server (ISE or any other).

I suggest doing that with Radius, for example Freeradius or Windows NPS.
