Another way is enable load balancing, but that has issues with client devices that don't support code 17.  I wouldn't use that unless you do some testing first.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Is there a way to force a client to join a specific AP?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We have a WLC and 32 APs.&amp;nbsp; I am sending one out to another remote office, but would like to test that everything works by having a client join it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However even though it's the closest one, I still end up joining another ap.&amp;nbsp; So is there a way to do this without causing an interruption to people already joined?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If you are using an Intel card you can specify an AP with the Intel Proset Tools.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Will be called something like preferred AP in the client setup.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
