The AIR-RM20A radio, which was included in early 1200 series access point models, is not supported. To see the type of radio module installed in your access point, enter this command on the access point: show controller dot11radio n, where n is the number of the radio (0 or 1).

Note The 1250 series access points have a hardware limitation where beacons can only be output at intervals that are multiples of 17 milliseconds. When these APs are configured for a 100-millisecond beacon interval, they transmit beacons every 102 milliseconds. Similarly, when the beacon interval is configured for 20 milliseconds, these APs transmit beacons every 17 milliseconds.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn7_0_116_0.html#wp610751

Cheers!

Rob

Hello,

Please, I need an official document from Cisco saying the APs models supported by the WLC 5508. Specially, I need to know if the AIR-AP1242AG-T-K9, converted from standalone, will be supported by the 5508.

Regards,

Marco Bartulihe

Cheers!

Rob
