Hi

We have a WLC4402

management interface IP is192.168.0.10 on the192.168.0.0/24 network. VLAN 105

Dynamic interface 10.31.0.4 on the 10.31.0.0/24 network for wired en wifi users VLAN 101 SSIDV101

another vlan (106) where RADIUS and other server are.(not configured on the wlc)

From servers, we can access management interface GUI.

From 10.31.0.X we cannot access management interface. (It seems to be an assymetric route problem).

Administrators have 10.31.0.X ip and we access other network équipements on 192.168.0.0 without problem.

Have you any idea for administrators to access 192.168.0.10 ?

Thanks

This is the expected behavior. by default the WLC does not repsond to requests on the wire for vlan/interface it has configured on it. It also, by default, does not allow itself to be managed from a wireless client.

hit the CLI and issue the commands

config network mgmt-via-wireless enabled

config network mgmt-via-dynamic-interface enable

Then try to access again. You may need to access via the 10.31.0.x address

Cheers,
Steve

--

If this helps you and/or answers your question please mark the question as "answered" and/or rate it, so other users can easily find it.

Thanks for your answer.

There are many others vlan and SSID and we don't want that other users could connect to their dynamic interfaces.

The best solution we found is to use service port interface with specific routes.

Thank you again for your guidance
