High density warehouse - Access Point Positioning

Hi,

For a high density warehouse location, if we put APs too close to eachother, would we have co-channel interference?

Any best practices to reduce the co-channel interference in such dense areas?

Is it a good idea to use TPCv2?

Document says: TPCv2 is suitable for dense networks. In this mode, there could be higher roaming delays and coverage hole incidents.

If reducing power doesn't really work, is it a good idea to reduce the cell size by allowing only higher data rates?

For a high density warehouse

For a high density warehouse location, if we put APs too close to eachother, would we have co-channel interference?

That's not an easy question to answer. There are a lot of factors which may or may not affect co-channel interference.

How "close" is "too close"?

What is the channel and power of each radio?

DCA assigns Power Level 7 to most of the APs.

I can also see 60 to 70 % interference.

In this case, indeed to close

In this case, indeed to close. With > 30% of interference, problems can start. Also with Level 7, the power is already on the lowest.

I suggest to do a site survey an completely change the placements of the APs or use external antennas, specific for your installation and site survey.
