The end of Cisco Wireless Converged Access???

It seems as if Cisco Converged Access will be no more within the next 3 years... At least that is what it is looking like based on the new IOS XE 16.X.X releases. It is now only supported on Cisco IOS XE release 16.3.X or lower and thats only because it has been extended by 40 months.

I thought this solution was supposed to be a way to provide better roaming and scalability features to wireless network designs.

Or is there something in the works to replace this?

Because of NDA, all I can say is this: Contact your local Cisco SE/AM/PSS and ask them. Otherwise, pay close attention to new announcement during Cisco Live US 2017.

Read the Data Sheet and it will talk about UADP 2.0. This is the new Wireless Converge Access.
