Hi John,

If you can get hold a recovery image, you could break the boot sequence and get the AP to boot the image from TFTP. The AP and TFTP server need to be in the same VLAN.

The procedure is here.

Latest recovery image is here.

Access Point going though loop when resetting

Hi all I hope you can help me I have a faulty Cisco AIR-LAP1143N-E-K9 wireless access point that I got second hand and I was wondering if there is any way to fix it before I try to send it back.

When I first start the AP I hold in the mode button until it turns red then when it has finished booting I use the reset command (I have done this to over 20 AP’s recently all worked fine) but this access point just loops constantly and never appears in the admin interface.

I have attached the full log of what happens when viewing in putty.

Any information you can give me will be very much appreciated.

Regards,

John
