I want to remove secondary and Tertiary Controller from High Availability for each access point. I have over 900 APs associated to a 8510 WLC Software Version 8.0.121.0. What is the best/easiest way to remove secondary and Tertiary Controller?
And/or can I create a template in Prime. We are using version 2.2

Hi,

Hi,

Easiest way:

Yes you can do it by using Cisco Prime Infrastructure , you can create a Lightweight AP Configuration Template to specify the Primary Controller Name and IP Address, and to specify a blank value (choose the first blank option in the drop down list) and 0.0.0.0 for the Secondary and Tertiary Controllers. Then you can apply that template to the AP's and it should remove (blank out) the values in those fields.

Lengthy way:

Yeah there is no way to remove it clean from the cli. you had to manually remove each on the AP.

Regards

Dont forget to rate helpful posts

So far those configuration

So far those configuration setting are not removing secondary controller.

I also rebooted APs after I saw this - Partial Success (Not Rebooted)

But Secondary controller is still listed.

Any other values I should change in template besides whats listed?
