The entire 8.1 code train is deferred code, meaning Cisco no longer allows us to download it for use. My first recommendation would be to get off of the 8.1 code train. 8.1.131.0 is exceptionally buggy.

AP's disassociateing from 5508 controleer

I have a 5508 controller and mostly 1142 AP's running 8.0.133 code. The clients keep losing their connections.

When I look at the controller the only thing I can see is that the AP's are disassociating from the controller. It doesn't appear to be for long but it does happen a lot. It's pretty frustrating for the users.

Any ideas? The AP's are connected to 2960's getting POE. Power is not oversubscribed as best I can tell.

SOme have been up for 150 + days some less. I have rebooted the ones that where up for a long time and it helped for a little while but keeps happening.

They are in Flexconnect mode.

I am actually having the same issue with the 5508 Controller and the 3702i WAPS. Running Code 8.1.131.0.

Out of 6 WAPs only one is now showing up in the controller. I opened a TAC case with Cisco..Still waiting to hear back from them

Running Code 8.1.131.0.

Unless there's any operational reasons to, TAC might recommend upgrading to a better code than this, like 8.2.151.0 or 8.3.111.0.

If the APs in question are FlexConnect mode and have an uptime of >150 days, then the only culprit left is the WAN link. The WAN could have congestion during which the APs just flop over.
