Hi Rasika,

Does the AP firmware has got anything to do with the regulatory domain? Suppose somehow if I change the AP firmware, will it still be universal or provisioned?

Thanks,

Converting universal APs to ready to use AP

Hi,

I have AIR-AP2702E-UXK9 access points and I am unable to provision it here in Kuwait as there is no regulatory domains available for this AP in Kuwait. I opened a case with TAC and its taking too long for them to fix the issue and they haven't given any ETA. Is there any way that I can change the firmware to convert it to normal access points? If yes, how do I achieve that?. I have downloaded the ap3g2-k9w8-tar.153-3.JD firmware.

Thanks,

Ajin.

I do not think there is

I do not think there is another way. Either replace the AP with another that has a regulatory domain configured at manufacturing or work with TAC

HTH

Thanks Rasika...So you're saying there is no option to change the firmware of the AP to a specific regulatory domain AP?

Thank you...So I'll have to wait for Cisco to fix the issue soon and the customer is very unhappy with the delay in the implementation...
