Cisco 2504 WLC - wlan to lan windows file sharing does not work

Hi,

I have a small site with a WLC 2504 and 1702 access points.

I can ping and map network drives between the computers on the wired lan and wlan connections, but windows file/print sharing does not work.

Are there any specific settings for this on the WLC?

Hi,
if you can ping devices between WLAN a LAN then network connectivity should be OK.

Do you have some ACL configured on WLC or router ?

Did you try disable windows firewall ?

No ACL's configured.

This was working previously when the site had 3 x stand alone Ruckus access points, only difference now is that I have the Cisco APs and the WLC instead.

I tried disabling the firewall but still the same.

Try enabling broadcast

Try enabling broadcast forwarding and see if that fixes your issue. What code are you running on the 2504 also?

Glad that helped. One thing to look at is if you want to stay on the 8.0.x, then look at upgrading to v8.0.133.0 for the various fixes. Seems to be a stable version also.
