WLC 2504 software upgrade

Dear All

i purchased new CISCO WLC 2504 (AIR-CT2504-50-K9) with software version 7.6 and all the access point 1700 series (AIR-CAP1702I-E-K9)

the WLC software version is not supported for CISCO Aironet 1700 so i want to upgrade the software to AIR-CT2500-K9-8-0-110-0.aes

but i'm worry about the WLC license, my WLC license supported for 50 APs if i upgrade the software there is any effect on the WLC license .

please help me

There will be no effect on license with software upgrade.

Just follow the upgrade procedure.

There won't be any effect to the license.

Yes, you can go directly to 8.0.x from 7.0.x code. Refer below link

Make sure you refer the release notes for any known issues with this code. Also upgrade FUS to 1.9.0.0 as well. This will take around 30 min downtime as well.
