Can we schedule shutdown and restart contoller based AP:1131 /1252

Hi All.

I need help in finding if a controller based LAP AP can be schedule shutdow or restart. This is a requirement from a customer and i'm not sure whether this can be achieved.

Another question is, can we send the scheduled Guest ID and PASSWORD thru RSS feed.

Has anyone here done this before? Your feedback would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, no. What is your and/or your client's intention? Is it to turn off wireless outside office hours?

If this is so, you have a few options:

1. If you have WCS then you can schedule the AP's radios to be disabled at specific times of the day/week/month;
2. If you have PoE switch, then you can enable EnergyWise where you can turn off power to each switchport; and finally
3. You can use ACL to deny CAPWAP or LWAP protocols.

Thanks fo the input leolaohoo however i have questions related to the below responce.

1. If you have PoE switch, then you can enable EnergyWise where you can turn off power to each switchport; and finally

- Can we do this based on schedule? to be disabled at specific times of the day/week/month?

If you have any documents which explans about "How to Achieve This" please share.

Of course you can! Listed below are a list of documentations you would like to read before making your decision. I have no idea what is the difference between Phase 1 or Phase 2 but either one will suite your requirements.
