Bridge functionality with Cisco 1200 AP in lightweight

Hi,

Autonomous 1200 AP [running Cisco IOS]can work as a bridge unit. When I cpnvert this AP to LWAPP will I get the bridge functionality? In case of 1300 AP/Bridge LWAPP is supported only for AP and not for bridge.

If I can get the bridge functionality on 1200 LWAPP can I use it in conjuction with 1000 LWAPP?

yes,

you will get a bridged functionality of the 1200 AP using LWAPP.

if you have a 1000 AP with LWAPP, then yes, it will work in conjunction with the 1200 AP. (this requires the 1200 AP to be able to connect to its LWAPP controller just as the 1000 does)

Actually, LWAPP 1100 and 1200 APs do not (currently) support bridging. From the following link:

A. Cisco IOS Software-based APs (autonomous APs) that are configured as workgroup bridges associate only with Cisco IOS Software-based APs. They cannot associate with LWAPP-based APs. Cisco IOS Software-based APs that are converted to lightweight mode also do not support workgroup bridge associations. This is because LWAPP devices cannot communicate with non-LWAPP devices at all.

my mistake, i'll have to review my initial reference where i obtained my original info.

(had to see lwapp w/brige somewhere but perhaps i'm just going crazy)
