topic roaming between AP's in Wireless

i have two 1200 ap's, one as root, the second as a non-root repeater ap for testing purposes. they work well but they do not roam that way i expected. i found out that the client changes the active ap when the signal strength is getting very bad, not before. i read something about non root mobility to turn on, but i didn't found it on the web interface from the 1200 ap.

is there anyone with knowledge about this?

ubach u have any rough idea abt the distance between these 2 access points. is there any reflexive material near the access points.

i did lot of implementations like this those are working fine.so tell me what exactly ur requirement how many AP's are there.

Binoy

CCNP WLANFE

the distance is about 20m. there are just 2 access points (one 1200.11b and one 1200.11g) the second one is configured as non-root(repeater). the coverage area is a corridor with metallic columns. one is about 5m off the repeater access point.

thanks a lot for your effort.

greets

ub
