Has anyone come across a solution that can enable the centralized deployment of Cisco Access points in a wiring closet while extending the antennas out into a hostile warehouse environment?

It's do-able, but you have to watch the loss from the extended cabling runs. Resist the temptation to use handmade cables - stick with the approved pre-fab stuff. There is a a great deal of loss at these freqs and everything must be nearly perfect.

Generally plan on using higher-gain antennas (omnis or sector antennas).

Of course, a good site survey should be conducted to ensure adequate coverage.

Good Luck

Scott

Would it be acceptable to put a integrated antenna AP in repeater mode back to the central AP?
