Unable to associate Cisco 350 Aironet card to D-Link AP

I recently upgraded my home wireless network and I'm unable to get my Cisco card in my laptop to associate to the network. When I run the troubleshooting tool in the ACU, I get very generic error messages:

`The radio's registry keys are OK.

The radio driver has been installed.

TEST 2:

The second step is to check the radio insertion.

The radio has been inserted.

TEST 3:

The third step is to check if the radio is turned on.

Your radio is turned on.

Current Active Profile Name: HomeWirelessNetwork

Auto Profile Selection is not enabled.

TEST 4:

The fourth step is to check your client adapter's association to an access point.

Checking driver/firmware capabilities

Checking the received radio signal

Your client adapter successfully received messages from your access point.

Checking the current data rate.

POSSIBLE REPAIR: Try moving closer to the access point.

I have verified that the SSID in my ACU profile matches the SSID on the AP. Am I missing some kind of compatability / driver issue?

Specs:

IBM T-40 laptop

Windows XP

Cisco 350 Series card

Cisco ACU v.6.3

D-Link DI-624 Access Point

WPA security enabled on AP

To eliminate wep key issues, try first without the wep key.

I should also mention that I downloaded the Windows Update patch to enable WPA.

Srdja,

I'm not using a WEP key -- that's why this is so confusing! The security settings on both the AP and the ACU are set to use WPA, not WEP.

Try without that Windows patch (for WPA). I had some troubles (couple months ago) with associating to the Cisco AP 1200 with Cisco Aironet PCM352 client card. Whem I removed patch for WPA everything went fine.

I tried removing the patch but that didn't solve the problem (nor was it solved when I reinstalled the patch). Any other thoughts as to what might be going on?
