To get the spectrum 24 card to connect we had to tie the 1230 AP down to a specific channel instead of the default "use less congested channel" option.

Hi,

We are trying to implement Cisco 1230 AP's with Symbol 7946 terminals with Spectrum 24 WLAN cards in. We want to use 128 bit wep keys but we can not get the Symbol to connect to the AP. We can get any other devices IPAQ's, Cisco 350 PCMCIA cards and a Symbol handheld gun to connect using the 128 bit wep key but the Symbol 7496 does not want to know. The only time we can get it to connect to the Cisco AP is if we use the 40 bit default wep keys that the Symbol is shipped with. Anyone had similar problems or have any ideas. We are getting desperate...?
