Unable to access GUI after Web admin cert install. CSR generation command was run but resulting cert was not used. Can we generate a new local cert and reload to gain access back?

I configured a new WLC 5520 today.

After getting everything sertup, including 4 SSIDs, guest vlan with web auth, 802.1x etc....I upload the web auth bundle pem cert and after reload I lost GUI access. All other services are working.

Do you guys have any documentation on how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks,

You made sure that you didn't upload the cert for management by accident? You can always go on the console and regenerate a new management certificate.

Use this command on the WLC CLI in order to regain access to the WLC GUI while you work on getting the certificate properly signed and bundled:

'config certificate generate webauth’

Reboot the WLC afterwards and once it is back up the WLC GUI works.
