AAA/RADIUS server priority in WLC

Hi,

As of now I have our RADIUS server defined in both the WLAN and Flexconnect group. Do I need to define it in both? Which one is primarily used for authentication of users?

Hi Phillip,

When you configure AAA server under WLAN -> Security ->AAA server section that will take the precedance over any other configured AAA servr in the controller.

Typically you configure primary & secondary AAA server for FlexConnect AP group, to make it administratively easy to configurer it for multiple H-REAP/FlexConnect APs (simply you can add AP to the group which will get those radius config). You requires this if you have multiple AAA servers & in H-REAP standalone mode you require to use them.
