Dear Team,

We have cisco switch 2950 and 2960 in two office buildings. all the user in two buildings are using wifi. but now we want one level of authentication to user. means when a new user is created before using internet it must ask for username and password.

we have radiuse server (SBR) , juniper 8208 as core switch, connected to cisco switch 2950 and 2960, and normal wifi AP's,

How can i configure the cisco swiych so wifi request go to radius server for authentication.?

I would leverage your SBR to do EAP PEAP. This would require a user to have a login and password. As for requesting each time, most supplicant cache this but some can be configured to prompt each time.

To do this, google Cisco autonomous eap example.

Hope this helps

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad App

You can configure 802.1X authentication for this. Below is the link for the same.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2960/software/release/12.2_55_se/configuration/guide/sw8021x.html
