&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You mean part 1 is primary and part 2 is backup ?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;but I am running part 2 now , and&amp;nbsp; I can change part 1&amp;nbsp; to part 2 by myself,is there any different between 1 and 2?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Partition 1 &amp;amp; 2 alternates which one is the "primary" or "secondary". &amp;nbsp;It depends on the boot variable string of each individual APs. &amp;nbsp;Some APs might boot Partition 1 and some might boot Partition 2. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Changing the which image the AP will boot will depend on what the firmware the WLC is running. &amp;nbsp;You can force the AP to boot Partition 2 but if it is not the same firmware the WLC is running on, the WLC will force the AP to AP to boot the correct firmware.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It is always best practice to have different images on the parts so if any defect arise on the active you can always roll back to a previous one without spending additional time to download the new image.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
