Hi Emmanuel,

When working with repeater mode if the units do not have a clear line of sight or are not properly aligned between them the link between them may go up and down.

Also when working with repeater as soon as the units have a link the Ethernet port on the repeater will stop working, but once the wireless link goes down the Ethernet port will start working and you could access the unit.

Hello,

I am trying to setup an Aironet 1142 to act as a repeater (wireless extender) to my home wireless network. This was working but would constantly disconnect from my wired network. The light when working is green. Now the light is just blinking orange. I think I may have reset it to factory default.

FiOS Router --- ethernet -- Aironet ---> wireless

        |

   wireless

Another thing is when it got an IP from my router (192.168.1.6) I try to access the web gui of the Aironet using the 192.168.1.6 IP but that doesn't work. I also tried to connect to console through a USB port on my laptop. Is there special settings I need to connect via USB instead of a 9pin serial connection?

Thanks

Manny
