All of the users in my company have laptops with Aironet 350 adapters and the Client Utility installed. I have configured the laptops to "Not allow Windows" to manage the wireless settings.

How can we use the Aironet Utility to search for available wireless networks the way Windows allowed you to? They need this functionality in airports for example.

Setup a "generic" profile within the Aironet Utility but leave the SSID fields empty.

From: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/wireless/airo_350/350cards/windows/acat3/ag3_ch4.htm

"If you leave this parameter blank, your client adapter can associate to any access point on the network that is configured to allow broadcast SSIDs (refer to your access point documentation). If the access point with which the client adapter is to communicate is not configured to allow broadcast SSIDs, the value of this parameter must match the SSID of the access point. Otherwise, the client adapter is unable to access the network."
