Aironet 1200 functionnalities!

Hello,

I have two questions about Aironet 1200:

- Are the filtering functionnalities the same as on Aironet 350? Does it allow to do filtering on destination MAC/IP address?

- Cisco Aironet 1200 is able to both communicate with 802.11 a and .11 b terminals. Does it mean that there are 2 interfaces, with 2 IP addresses, and 2 configuration? Wouldn't it mean that the Aironet 1200 is in fact 2 logical APs ?

YES..Filtering functionnalities is same in both series..And No--Filtering is allowed only based on source MAC address not on destination mac address.

1200 can communicate with 802.11a and b with the one ip address on ethernet interface..You can think of two virtual APs..one for each but it uses the same ip config..

Access point is Layer 2 box . So radio config will be different for both radio 802.11a and 802.11b but IP will be same .

You can filter specific protocols like IPX or

IP or specific ports
