does anybody have a good detailed document (beside the configuration guide) regarding the upgrade of the WCS, what kind of problems can we expect..., tips & tricks....

this would be very appreciated

Tip #1: Read the Release Documentations BEFORE installation. Check for bug fixes, new bugs and caveats.

did the automated upgrade to 4.2.110.0 with the installer, no issues.....

Definately a good idea because the last update to 5.2.178.0 did away with WLAN overide. It now has to be implemented with AP Groups. If I had not read the release notes, I would have caused a lot of problems.

Trust me. I've done a number of firmware upgrades with the WLC without reading the release notes and the next words that came out of my mouth were, "What the is going on here????".

I learned my lessons the hard way ...
