Wireless Control Server (WCS) Password Recovery ?

Is there a way to recover/change an admin password on a WCS server, or is the best bet to uninstall/reinstall WCS. I can't find any documenation on cisco.com mentioning password recovery on WCS. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer,

I would open up a Tac case, there is a bug (listed below) that would indicate to me that Cisco may be working on this issue. The current prescribed workaround is, as you noted, uninstall/reinstall;

Further Problem Description:

It would be nice to be able to recover access to WCS, after a lost password,

CSCsg46139 If you lose your WCS password and have not backed up your database, there is no mechanism to recover the password.

Thanks very much - since I couldn't find anything - I was pretty sure uninstall/reinstall would fix it.

While trying to recover WCS were you able to save the WCS database?
