We have a cisco 2500 wireless controller with LAPs.

Our devices require Broadcasting to be enabled. So I had to enabe broadcast forwarding under the Controller tab.It appears this option is a global seeting.

Is there a way to enable Broadcast Forwading for an specific WLAN or SSID?

Can we isolate broadcast data to an SSID or a WLAN?

Thanks!

You need to really just test this. Some equipment requires broadcast alone to work not just multicast. I typically don't have broadcast forwarded enabled unless its a requirement from a vendor.

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPhone App

Keep in mind the wlc blocks these broadcast. I was working with Draeger medical devices and tried to get their stuff working without having to enable broadcast forwarding, but since devices where is various subnets, I was stuck and told by Draeger engineer that they require this to be enabled.

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad App
