      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope you can help to provide some explaination or guidance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The following messages appeared in the wireless controller deployed in my customer environment&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;'Malformed SSID information in sniffing dump from AP'&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anyone explain the cause of this log?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Delon&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Scott,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;WLC model is WiSM and previously it is running 4.2.176 but I've upgraded it to 5.2.157.0 to resolve some caveats. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The AP installed and deployed is LAP1242AG.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you think it is software version related?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Delon&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;There will always be caveats, but the 5.x firmware isn't better nor stable as 4.2.130 or 4.2.176.  To be honest, if things were working fine leave it. I have clients running 5.2 only when MESH is involved. Other than that I still have client on 4.1.185 or 4.2.130/.176 (1250ap) with no issue. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you see malformed packets on the switchports also?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
