New Wireless Profile

Hi,

We are using cisco 2504 controller which has two Wireless profile ( WPA 2 ,802.1X and Web-Auth). We need to broadcast a new wireless profile which has a single sheard key for all user. Pls share any documant or method for making this.

Hi,

Its pretty simple:

Go to WLAN > Create New, enter Profile name and SSID name.

Then:

In general Tab

1. Enale the status and assign the correct interface

Security TAB:

1. in WPA+WPA2 parameter section, make sure that WPA2 policy with Aes must be enabled.

2. In Authentication key management section, select psk , choose psk forat as Ascii and enter the shared key.

thats it and then clcik on Apply (Far right)

Thanks for update. Pls let me know we have a centerlise DHCP server so can i also need a diffrent pool or VLAN for routing or it can use the same VLAN, IP pool.

Yes you can use external/internal dhcp server.

which interface /vlan you want to use for this WLAN?

DHCP server IP must be configured on either under dynamic interface configuration or on WLAN ID > advanced page.
