I tried to discover 3550-Switche with our Cisco WLSE V2.5. Two 3550 devices working fine (V12.2.(8)EA1)+(V12.2.(8)EA1).

Other 3550 devices with V12.2.(13)EA1 didn't respond. I don't know why. (same config)

-I checked the SNMP-connection with the WLSE query

tool. Works fine!

-ACL ist activ but the WSLE IP-Address ist permited.

Works fine with two devices.

Thank you in advance

Arno Hagedorn

Are those switches on different (management) subnet, if so. make sure that the community strings and IP Address/es are correct on the WLSE under 'Device Credentials'

yes, I know that. Thanks. Happens in the same mgt-subnet. I'm sure 'Device Credentials' are correct.

The issue is, that one switch answer with cdp correctly. Switch and all directly connected APs are discoverd by WLSE.

Other devices in the same subnet with same config only reply directly connected APs but the switch itself did not respond. (but cdp on the switch shows all devices WITH switch)

arno

If you have not done so already, turn on Device Discovery debugging on the WLSE and try to rediscover the devices.

You may be able to see why this is happening.
