I have a client who is regestired to use the 3GHz frequency. Does any one know if the Cisco range can be altered to support this frequency.

No. The Aironet range (350's & 1200's) only support the unlicensed 802.11a and 802.11b standards.

Cisco does have some carrier wireless products, but I assume your question is regarding the consumer/commercial access points. Altering the radio frequency would be: (a) really hard, probably impossible, given that most of it's in the chipset; (b) probably illegal, and break FCC/Austel/whatever regulations.

thank you for the feed back. what wireless technology could an isp use if they have the 3GHz frequency registered for their own use.

Cisco uses the 3.4 - 3.6 GHz frequencies for ETSI regulation with what is called the Cisco WT-2750 Multipoint Broadband Wireless according to the site http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/102/wwan/p2mp-faq.html#3.

U-NII regulation is in the 5.725 - 5.825 GHz frequency range

Don't know much about it except that the feature is removed from newer IOS
