downgrading ap260I with mac book air

Hi folks,

I am trying to downgrade an 2600 ap using my mac book air 10.10.2 with IP address 10.0.0.2/28 + the built in tftp server. file name is "ap3g2-k9w7-tar.default" with 666 rights. the tftp root folder also got 666 for everyone. when I am trying to let the AP pull up the image it stops saying "Image is not a valid IOS image archive". I've also compared the md5 checksum, witch is correct. In addition I have downgraded the ap from a colleagues windows pc and it ran through as a charm.

Hope I haven't missed something really stupid, but I've spend almost the whole day trying to bring it up autonomous.

Must be a type-o, but a "/28"? That's a wrong subnet.

ERROR: Image is not a valid IOS image archive

Check the MD5 hash value and compare the value against the MD5 hash value found in the Cisco website.

what do you mean with type-o? /28 is truly wrong but fortunately just on this post here. I've configured a 255.255.255.224 subnet as the AP's IP config per 'set' in ROMMON.

The MD5 is correct. I've double-checked that twice.

You sure that there is no hidden added file extension? When I upload/download code from my Mac, I have always done it through Windows running in Parallel. Maybe it's because I tried it before and couldn't get it to work:) Who knows.

As of the wireshark trace, I see the AP requesting for the image. Mac is also responding to that with a tiny bit of data but not all. I assume the transfer gets cut off for some reason. might the issue reside on my mac?
