Hi,

I am trying to connect two LANs with two Aironet 1310 units without success.

Both have the same SSID (tsunami), one setup as root and the remote one as non-root. Before installing them on-site, I usually setup them at my office, but I can't!

The remote bridge (non-root) radio state is always down. Could anyone help me?

Thanks

Julio Cohen

How can I do that? At System Software I confirmed that the data you posted is the same I have.

Both radios are working, since I can use them as APs without problems at all.

Thanks

Julio

I had the same problem when I configured an AP as a client, it always showed the client as down (s/w and h/w down) but it was fine when configured as an AP. The client was working fine when I added the antennas and close to each other. I think they work properly when they can seee ach other, otherwise if signal is week it simply shuts off. Try to keep them close to each other or even connecting with a coax cable and attenuator to verify if this is the problem, then take them outside.

Many thanks for the replies. At 4:30 AM, almost crazy after many configuration attempts, I just touched the antenna connector with a small screwdriver and the connection was up. God, Cisco should state at the manual that the antennas MUST be attached. Since my notebook was connecting with the bridge without the antenna, both 1310 should connect between each other without antennas two, specially because they was so close.

Thanks!!!

Julio Cohen
