      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a WLC 5508 and 4402&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;when I try to add this two into one RF grouping I get this:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Controller NameIP Address &amp;nbsp;10.66.4.250 &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;(Invalid IP)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;INPUT class="statictextboxlist" maxlength="31" name="local_member_name" readonly="readonly" size="32" style="font-size: 11px; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1px 1px 1px 2px; border: 0px; padding-left: 3px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" type="TEXT" value="PMACS-WLC03" /&gt;&lt;INPUT class="statictextboxlist" maxlength="18" name="local_member_ip" readonly="readonly" size="18" style="font-size: 11px; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1px 1px 1px 2px; border: 0px; padding-left: 3px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" type="TEXT" value="10.66.4.245" /&gt;&lt;INPUT class="statictextboxlist" maxlength="31" name="1.0.1.member_name" readonly="readonly" size="32" style="font-size: 11px; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1px 1px 1px 2px; border: 0px; padding-left: 3px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" type="TEXT" value="PMACS-WLC01" /&gt;&lt;INPUT class="statictextboxlist" maxlength="64" name="1.0.1.member_ip" readonly="readonly" size="64" style="font-size: 11px; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; margin: 1px 1px 1px 2px; border: 0px; padding-left: 3px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" type="TEXT" value="10.66.4.250    (Invalid IP)" /&gt;&lt;A class="nohref" id="popupId0" style="font-size: 11px; font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 102, 204);" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;IMG src="https://10.66.4.245/images/popup_trigger.gif" style="border-width: medium; border-style: none;" /&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the IP addresses are correct and accessible. can anyone tell me why I get this error?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Additional info:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5508 software&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal;"&gt;7.6.120.0&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 11px; line-height: normal;"&gt;4408 software&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal;"&gt;7.0.240.0&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 11px; line-height: normal;"&gt;they are part of the same Mobility group.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 11px; line-height: normal;"&gt;4402 does not support AC but I get this error on 802.11b/g/n band as well&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 11px; line-height: normal;"&gt;5508 is set to leader but it is the same error vice-versa&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 11px; line-height: normal;"&gt;can the different software version be the reason?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, two software versions you mentioned incompatible. Below is from 7.4RRM guide (page 14).
