topic 702W LAN ports changing from DATA VLAN to the Controller'sVLAN in Wireless

Hi,

At our organization we have many many 702W AP's installed throughout the campus. The ports they're attached to are trunking and passing the data VLAN we use to support the LAN ports in the AP's as designed.

We've noticed that when a user has an Xbox console connected to a LAN port and they power it off at night, when they power it back on the next morning the 702 ignores the tag on the LAN port for the data VLAN and the endpoint is assigned an IP in the controller's VLAN.

When the port that the AP is connected to on the switch is cycled with a shut, no shut, the devices comes back online in the Data VLAN but then next day it happens again.

Has anyone seen this issue or have any explanation as to why this is happening?

What version of software

What version of software running on your WLC ? seems like a bug. Try with different code version and see problem persist.

HTH
