CUCM 10.5(2) LUA script environment which LUA version

HI,

I can't find this in the SIP Normalization Developer guide (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/sip_tn/9_1_1/sip_t_n.html) anywhere so posting a question here. Does anyone know which version of LUA is used in the CUCM LUA scripting environment? I want to install a LUA Linter in Visual Studio Code for debugging script files before uploading and need to know the correct version. It seems the latest stable version is 5.3 https://www.lua.org/versions.html but given the age of CUCM I suspect it's based on a much older version.

Hi Ben,

You can specifically check the Open Source list for Unified CM depending upon what version you are interested in:

Due to the limited set of features supported by the embedded Lua in Unified CM and the included API calls, a linter might not help all that much. You are correct in that the embedded Lua is a bit older (5.1.4 is shown in the 12.0(1) list).
