      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Via AXL, about all you can do is restart the device via &amp;lt;doDeviceReset&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://developer.cisco.com/media/axl-schema-11-5/Files/AXLSoap_doDeviceReset.html#Link40F" title="https://developer.cisco.com/media/axl-schema-11-5/Files/AXLSoap_doDeviceReset.html#Link40F"&gt;https://developer.cisco.com/media/axl-schema-11-5/Files/AXLSoap_doDeviceReset.html#Link40F&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The other possibility involves the IP Phone Services XML API.&amp;nbsp; With this approach, the application makes an HTTP POST to the device's onboard mini web server, with a specially formatted XML object that includes the 'Init:CallHistory' URI:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;lt;CiscoIPPhoneExecute&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;lt;ExecuteItem URL="Init:CallHistory"/&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;lt;/CiscoIPPhoneExecute&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://developer.cisco.com/site/ip-phone-services/" title="https://developer.cisco.com/site/ip-phone-services/"&gt;https://developer.cisco.com/site/ip-phone-services/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Note, this approach involves a few challenges, i.e.:&lt;BR /&gt;- The application must know the IP address of the phone (or possibly use TAPI or JTAPI's data pass through features).&amp;nbsp; The Serviceability Risport API may be helpful in getting IP addresses:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://developer.cisco.com/site/sxml/documents/api-reference/risport/" title="https://developer.cisco.com/site/sxml/documents/api-reference/risport/"&gt;https://developer.cisco.com/site/sxml/documents/api-reference/risport/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- The POST requires authentication, so a CUCM username/password must be given, with a user that is associated to the target device&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
