I am looking for an API that will provide System uptime, but I am not finding anything. Any chance anyone has a way of doing this I am missing?

I can get up times of individual services, and all sorts of good performance monitoring stats etc. but I can not fins system uptime. If this is not available through API then I'll write a script to either poll it via SNMP ot SSH and screen scrape, but API would make life much easier.

Thanks Anusha, unfortunately that thread just provides mention of SNMP for uptime no API. I want to be able to get this programmatically from a script so API is ideal, but looks like it is not available. In the mean time I do have this working with an SSH based script.
