topic ifType Specification in Controllers

I would like to know ifType specifications.

I run the below API and it returns the ifType value as an integer. Can it be used to identify the switch port type? I am getting the value as 56 or 2 for ifType. What 56 or 2 or any other value mean? Can you share the detailed specification for if type and mapping integer value and its description?

"https://10.x.x.x/fm/fmrest/inventory/getInterfacesBySwitch/?switchDbID=<value>&network=<value>

Sample Output:

"ifIndex":"16777816","speedValue":"16000000000","nativeVlanId":"","ifType":"56","description":"fc1/1","duplex":"","mode":"NP","isOwnerAllowed":"true","speedStr":"16Gb","ifAllowedVlan":"","adminStatusStr":"up","connectedToType":"SAN","ifIpmask":"","portGroup":"","connToInterfaceIfName":"fc1/1","adminStatus":"1","operStatusCause":"ok","alias":"","connectedToStr":"U36-C8132T-A ......

Second Request:

How to identify the port type like (e port, g port) from CLI command show interface?

Thanks,

Mayank Gupta
